When palace and executive are not on good terms, remedial action must come from political elites — Hafiz Hassan

OCTOBER 17 — In “A subtle message for the discerning” I shared incidents narrated by His Royal Highness Sultan of Perak the late Sultan Azlan Shah where State Rulers and State Menteri Besars and would-be Menteri Besars were not on good terms.
“There is a subtle message in the … incidents, related by none other than the late Sultan Azlan Shah — High Court Judge, Chief Justice of Malaya and Lord President of the Federal Court, and subsequently the Sultan of Perak and the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia.”
The message is for the discerning.
That’s what a subtle message means.
Given the public rebuke of Menteri Besar Datuk Ismail Lasim by the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, let’s be blunt on the message in the incidents.
When palace and executive are not on good terms, remedial action must come from political elites.
