Star Wars lore is filled with characters of all kinds of different power scaling, but the way the universe is set up often means that the most potent figures are found on the Dark Side. Emperor Palpatine is the most obvious example, but there are thousands of years of history, featuring characters who all have the potential to rival him in some way.

That's particularly true with the increasing number of adaptations of George Lucas' creation, and more are emerging all the time that bring something new to the proverbial party. Now, one of the coolest examples of that in the history of the franchise has been immortalized in a whole new medium, and it could serve as the perfect centerpiece to any physical collection.

Over on the official Sideshow website, you should be able to find the listing for the sixth scale figure of Darth Nihilus by Hot Toys. It's easily the most detailed rendition we've seen of the character to date, and it isn't so big that it would be impractical to store at home.

In letting fans know a little about what they can expect if they do decide to commit to a purchase, the manufacturer shared the following description:

“Darth Nihilus is one of the most powerful Sith Lords in the Star Wars universe. Known as the ‘Lord of Hunger,’ he is driven by an overwhelming hunger that strips him of his humanity and morality. Renowned for his ability to consume the Force energy of his victims, he uses this power to sustain his own life force.

“It is believed that he could consume the Force energy of an entire planet. Darth Nihilus was not born a monster; after surviving the Jedi Civil Wars, he became deeply connected to this wound, and his exposure to such overwhelming destruction fundamentally changed him. Trained in the ways of the Sith, he established the Sith Triumvirate with his fellow Dark Lords, Sion and Traya.

“Representing a unique and horrifying manifestation of the Sith's lust for power, Darth Nihilus is a fan favorite. Sideshow and Hot Toys is excited to bring this immensely powerful character to life with the Darth Nihilus Sixth Scale Collectible Figure.”

The figure is priced at £202.38/$265.00, which is actually on the more reasonable end of the scale for figures of this ilk. The only major caveat is that it's currently sold out, though a restock is expected soon, and you can sign up for the waitlist if you do want to add it to your personal collection.

star wars' Darth Nihilus in kotor

Darth Nihilus is yet to make an appearance in any other Star Wars properties beyond Knights of the Old Republic II, where he debuted. He's officially part of the Legends era, rather than Disney canon, which might be the reason, but it would be nice to see him crop elsewhere in the near future, if only to see him attempt to absorb the life force of a planet.
