Lino Cayetano replaces Dave Gomez as PCO chief

Translate

MANILA, Philippines — Former Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano will replace Dave Gomez as secretary of the Presidential Communications Office (PCO), President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. confirmed on Sunday, October 11.

Gomez's replacement comes after the Commission on Appointments bypassed his appointment, according to Marcos.

Cayetano was appointed PTV-4 general manager in June, replacing Maria Lourdes Choa-Fagar.

He served as Taguig City mayor from 2019 to 2022 and as representative of the second district of Taguig-Pateros from 2013 to 2016.

Cayetano is also a director and filmmaker who worked for more than a decade as a director and creative consultant for ABS-CBN. He earned a degree in mass communication from the University of the Philippines and a diploma in film from the New York Film Academy.

He is the younger brother of Sens. Alan Peter Cayetano and Pia Cayetano.
