Nandhakumar Sekar has joined Odisha FC on a one-year deal after a stint with East Bengal, the Indian Super League (ISL) club announced on Friday.

The move marks Nandha’s return to the club, where he previously spent four seasons, establishing himself as one of the team’s key attacking players. During his previous spell, he made 59 Indian Super League appearances, scoring seven goals and providing five assists.

His most productive campaign came in the 2022–23 season, when he played a pivotal role in Odisha FC’s first-ever qualification for the ISL playoffs and maiden Super Cup triumph. He scored six goals and registered an assist in the ISL that season, before adding four goals during the Super Cup-winning campaign.

His performances earned him his maiden senior India call-up, with Nandha making his international debut against Vanuatu in the 2023 Intercontinental Cup.

“I’m very happy to be back with Odisha FC. This club has given me some very special memories, and I’m looking forward to being back with the team and the fans. I’m ready to work hard and contribute to the team for the rest of the season,” Nandha was quoted in a media release.
