PowerBall jackpot: Everything you need to know before tonight’s draw

Tonight’s PowerBall jackpot stands at an estimated R80 million, with PowerBall Xtra adding a further R12 million on top. Combined, that’s R92 million up for grabs across both draws.

The draw takes place tonight at 21:00, live on e.tv and SABC, with ticket sales cutting off at 20:40.

How to play tonight’s PowerBall

A standard PowerBall board costs R10, and involves picking five numbers from 1 to 50, plus one PowerBall number from 1 to 16.

Adding PowerBall Xtra costs an extra R5 per board, giving you a second shot at winning using the same numbers, bringing the combined cost to R15 if you play both.

Why tonight’s jackpot has climbed this high

The main PowerBall hasn’t produced a big winner since Tuesday, 3 July 2026, when R72 million was paid out, meaning tonight’s draw follows eleven consecutive rollovers.

PowerBall Xtra last cascaded on 31 July, and has rolled over three times since, with tonight marking only the fourth Xtra game of August.
