KUALA LUMPUR: Actor Norman Hakim is mourning the loss of his mother-in-law, Norlela Abdul Rahman, who passed away earlier today following a stroke.

Norlela, the mother of Norman's wife, actress Memey Suhaiza, died at 2.49am at Kota Tinggi Hospital in Johor.

Norman shared the news through a moving tribute on his official Instagram account.

"With deep sadness, I would like to inform you that my beloved mother-in-law, the late Norlela Abdul Rahman, returned to the Almighty on Oct 28, 2026, at 2.49am at Kota Tinggi Hospital after suffering a stroke," he wrote.

The popular actor also requested fans, friends, and family to keep his late mother-in-law in their prayers.

"Our family kindly requests relatives, friends, and all who knew her to pray for her soul. May Allah forgive all her sins, shower His mercy upon her soul, grant peace and light to her grave, and place her among His righteous believers. Please recite Al-Fatihah for her," he added.

Accompanying the heartfelt post were touching photos of Memey beside her late mother.
