Prisons Department awaiting official written notice on Najib's conditional pardon

KUALA LUMPUR: The Prisons Department is awaiting official written notification regarding the conditional pardon decision for Datuk Seri Najib Razak before determining further action.

In a statement today, the department said any official notification and documents about the Pardons Board's decision would be transmitted through the appropriate official channels.

"The Prisons Department is always prepared to execute any official instructions received from the relevant authorities," it said.

"This is in accordance with legal provisions, prison regulations, and existing standard operating procedures," it added.
