Fuji veteran, Wasiu Ayinde Marshall, popularly known as KWAM 1, has stirred reactions after a video showed him presenting his daughter, Damilola Marshall, to Lagos State Deputy Governor and All Progressives Congress governorship candidate, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, at an event.

In the now-trending footage, the veteran musician called his daughter, popularly known as Dami Marshal, forward before telling Hamzat, “I hand her over to you.”

Hamzat accepted the gesture with laughter and pointed Damilola towards her seat, while the lawyer appeared amused by her father’s action.

The footage, which circulated on social media on Sunday, captured KWAM 1 singing in Yoruba as he made the gesture, in what appeared to be a playful endorsement of his daughter’s political ambition.

Damilola is seeking election to the Lagos State House of Assembly to represent Surulere Constituency II in the 2027 general elections.

She declared her ambition on March 17, 2026, in a post on her Instagram page, saying she was ready to serve the constituency.

“I am excited to share that I, Barr. Damilola Ayinde Marshal, am stepping forward to serve the good people of Surulere Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly,” she wrote.

The lawyer said her 12 years of legal practice had shaped her understanding of governance, justice and the needs of her community.

She also pledged to represent young people, describing herself as prepared to serve and lead if elected.

Damilola, who is the daughter of the Fuji star, serves as Senior Special Assistant to Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tourism.
