India lost 2-4 to England in their second Pool-D fixture at the ongoing FIH Men’s Hockey World Cup 2026 at the Wagener Stadium in Amstelveen, Netherlands on Monday.

The Harmanpreet Singh-led team had begun its campaign with a 3-1 win over Wales.

However despite this loss to the English, the Indian team still remains in contention to advance to the second group stage, where the top two teams from each current group will further be divided into two more groups.

How can India qualify for Hockey World Cup second group stage?
