An 11th body has been found in Springs, Ekurhuleni.

Ekurhuleni’s body count has risen to 11 after another body was discovered in an open veld near Rhokana Road in Springs on Sunday.

Police said a security company vehicle was patrolling the area around midday and spotted the body and alerted authorities.

The latest discovery comes amid an ongoing police investigation into a string of bodies found across Ekurhuleni in recent months.

Gauteng police commissioner Lieutenant General Tommy Mthombeni is expected to visit the scene as the investigation gets under way.
