All four were conscious and have been transported for treatment.

Four adults were struck by lightning at an elementary school bus drop-off in Arizona on Friday, according to officials.

The lightning strike was reported at El Mirage Elementary shortly after 8:30 a.m., according to the El Mirage Police Department.

Police and the fire department responded to the scene to find four adults had been struck by lightning.

There are no reports of children being hurt, officials said.

All four were conscious and have been transported to the hospital with minor injuries, officials said.

Carrie Thorpe, who works in the area, told Phoenix ABC News affiliate KNXV, "the thunder was so loud, it felt like the building shook."

"It's crazy, and you hear about things like this, but how many times does it happen? It's sad," she said.

One patient said she was holding an umbrella and felt the electricity through the umbrella, according to Joseph Rivera with the El Mirage Fire Department.

Fire officials warned more severe weather is coming and that during these times it's important to stay inside.
