Anoushka Shankar thanks ‘village’ as KL pop‑up takes place at Temple of Fine Arts tonight

Translate

PETALING JAYA, Oct 4 — Sitarist Anoushka Shankar will host a special pop up event tonight at the Temple of Fine Arts here, after her scheduled Plenary Hall concert was cancelled.

The 8pm gathering is open only to valid ticket holders of the original show, with seats allocated on a first come, first served basis.

“It takes a village!” Shankar wrote in her announcement on social media, thanking the Temple of Fine Arts, Malaysian sitarist Kumar Karthigesu, her band and crew, and others who helped make the last minute arrangement possible.

She stressed that the event was personally organised by her team and is not linked to the original promoter, adding that refunds for the cancelled concert will still be processed separately.

With the smaller venue, Shankar urged fans to arrive early to secure entry.
