If you own a PlayStation console and play Gran Turismo 7, don’t put this off: You’ve got roughly a day left to claim two free racing cars before they disappear, and unlike a lot of in-game freebies, this is the only chance you get to grab them.

The offer is tied to the Gran Turismo World Series, which is currently running its second round out of Tokyo. Polyphony Digital, the studio behind Gran Turismo 7, is rewarding anyone who tunes into the livestreams with two Stealth Model cars: a Toyota FT-1 Vision Gran Turismo and a Mazda 787B '91. Both come in that deep matte-black finish fans have been asking for since the promotion launched.

There’s a catch, though. The window to claim these freebies closes August 31 at 8:59 AM UTC. That leaves you with just 24 hours (probably less than a day when you’re reading this), so if you’ve been meaning to check this out, now’s the time.

How To Get Two Free Cars In Gran Turismo 7

Note that you don’t need to sit through the whole broadcast, although Polyphony Digital doesn’t specify the exact watch time requirement. Just open Gran Turismo 7, head to the World Map, and look for the “Viewers’ Gift” banner. Watching any portion of the stream counts toward unlocking the reward. While you don’t need to watch it from start to finish, make sure you have some legit watch time to avoid issues with redemption. The two cars are unlocked separately, though:

• Watch the Manufacturers Cup stream to earn the Toyota FT-1 Vision GT (Gr.3) in Stealth Model
• Watch the Nations Cup stream to earn the Mazda 787B ’91 in Stealth Model

One thing worth flagging: some players have reported issues getting the in-game banner to load properly, so if you don’t see the banner in Gran Turismo 7 right away, don’t panic: Just keep checking back or keep an eye on Polyphony’s official channels for updates on when it’s back up.

Assuming everything claims correctly, the rewards themselves won’t land in your garage immediately. Polyphony is expected to hand them out on September 1, 2026, and once they do, players will have to redeem the cars through the Gifts menu within the distribution time (likely around 2 weeks).

As for why anyone should care about a paint job in a racing sim, the Mazda 787B has some real pedigree behind it. The actual car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans back in 1991, becoming the first Japanese manufacturer to do it, and it’s been a fan favorite in the Gran Turismo series since it first showed up in GT3 back in 2001. The FT-1 doesn't have that kind of racing history, since it's a concept car, but it's become one of the more recognizable designs in the franchise regardless.

This isn’t Polyphony’s first freebie push this year, either. Back in May, during the World Series’ Milan round, players were able to grab Stealth versions of the Porsche 911 GT3 R and the Toyota GT-One in Gran Turismo 7 in the same way. If that pattern holds, there could be another round of giveaways when the World Series moves to Singapore in October—so even if you miss this one, it probably won’t be the last shot at something similar.
