Becca Tobin On ‘Glee’ Reboot: “This Gives Me Diarrhea”

Becca Tobin has had quite a reaction to the news that Glee is getting a revival on Disney+ and Hulu.
Tobin joined the Ryan Murphy series in Season 4 as Kitty Wilde, a bully and a member of the McKinley High cheerleader squad who channeled an early Quinn Fabray. The actress recurred in Season 4 and became a series regular in Season 5. She reprised the role in Season 6.
“This gives me diarrhea,” Tobin said on the LadyGang podcast about the show’s revival. “It’s a situation where I’m not an original cast member. I was not in season 1. I came in three seasons in. So, there’s no guarantee.”
She added, “There’s no guarantee for anyone, anything, anywhere ever, right? But it’s the type of thing where you just sit, and you wait, and you’re like, ‘Okay, is he going to decide to invite, ask, whatever?’ It’s such a weird feeling.”
Earlier this week, Deadline reported that Glee was getting a reboot, with Disney+ and Hulu ordering it as a series. Although no talent is attached to the revival, the show’s co-creator said he had finished a script for the new series.
On the LadyGang podcast, Tobin continued to express her thoughts over the Glee announcement, adding, “You know when you get that kind of anxiety where you’re like, oh God, is this going to be the type of thing where it comes back and everywhere I go, and I’m not doing anything, not even like one scene of one episode, and then everybody’s talking to me and asking me about it.”
Although not much was said about what the Glee revival would be about, Tobin acknowledged how “challenging it’s going to be for them to weave in already these original cast members and the new people and the whatever. I don’t know what the plan is. I do know the original people will most likely be coming back. It’s not a mystery that Ryan has spoken to them.”
