Haiwaan, starring Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, has turned out to be a huge disappointment. After the success of Bhooth Bangla, the reunion of Akshay and Priyadarshan returned with a crime thriller, and it was expected to do well. The Bollywood crime thriller scored a dismal 1 lakh on its second Saturday, day 9. Overall, it has scored just 9.87 crore net at the Indian box office, which equals 11.65 crore gross. From here, it is expected to add a couple of more lakhs to its tally and is heading for a lifetime collection of 9.91-9.92 crore net.

With an expected lifetime net collection of 9.91-9.92 crore, Haiwaan will wrap up its Indian box office run as Akshay Kumar’s lowest-grossing film in the last 26 years. The last lowest-grosser of the superstar was Family – Ties Of Blood, which earned 8.59 crore net. It’s a huge embarrassment for the actor, and hopefully, he’ll bounce back with his next film with Anees Bazmee, which is scheduled to release in December 2026.

Although it marked the reunion of Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan, the film didn’t excite moviegoers as it wasn’t their usual comedy entertainer. It was a kind of niche crime thriller.
