With a brand-new Pokémon era set to begin next year with the launch of Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves, Nintendo is still holding on to some of the more recent entries in the meantime, especially those that graced the ninth generation of the hit franchise.

That, of course, includes Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which launched on the Nintendo Switch and, later, on Nintendo Switch 2, back in 2025. As the sequel to the sixth-generation titles, Pokémon X and Y, as well as the second installment in the Legends sub-series, Pokémon Legends: Z-A took players to Lumiose City, but with negative reviews criticizing the visual limitations of the city, this may not have been the best idea.

Nevertheless, if there is one thing that Game Freak and Nintendo have got right with Pokémon Legends: Z-A, it is the heaps of post-launch content that has been added. With many fans still enjoying their time in Lumiose City, they may be pleased to learn of another upcoming release.

Courtesy of the official Pokémon website, we now know that the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension Bundle will be launching soon, giving gamers the opportunity to experience an adventure through Lumiose City, and get to enjoy its DLC, all in one handy package.

As the official announcement reads, "In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you explore Lumiose City, working together with your friends at Hotel Z to tackle all sorts of incidents that crop up involving people and Pokémon. The adventure continues in the Mega Dimension DLC, with an expanded story involving the Mythical Pokémon Hoopa and mysterious spatial distortions that are appearing throughout the city."

Now, on 29 October 2026, you will be able to purchase the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension Bundle, with both the main game and DLC being available on one game cartridge.

Additionally, if you have the Nintendo Switch, this Nintendo Switch 2 edition will also be playable for you, so you do not have to worry about upgrading. As the post explains, "When playing the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition on the Nintendo Switch system, though, the content will be the same as that of the Nintendo Switch software. Additional features and content that utilize the Nintendo Switch 2 system’s specs will not be included."

Mega Dragonite uses Draco Meteor in Lumiose City in Pokemon Legends: Z-A.

However, that is not all, as Nintendo is also giving you another incentive to grab the upcoming release. For those who purchase the Pokémon Legends: Z-A – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Mega Dimension Bundle, they will also receive a serial code for a gift of 100 Ultra Balls via Mystery Gift. This will make capturing Pokémon a whole lot easier in the early game, and give you a head start as you begin your battles.

So, if you are yet to check out Pokémon Legends: Z-A, now is the perfect time to do so now that it has received patches, updates, a DLC, and now, a handy bundle that combines them all for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.
