DOH warns vs scammers posing as Health Secretary Edwin Mercado
MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health (DOH) on Tuesday warned the public against individuals posing as Health Secretary Edwin Mercado to solicit donations.
The DOH said it received reports of messages from people introducing themselves as Mercado.

“DOH clarifies that any messages or calls requesting donations or transactions using the Secretary’s name are unofficial and untrue,” the agency said.

“The public is reminded to be cautious and not contact, give money, or transact with suspicious accounts, numbers, or messages,” it added.
The agency also urged the public to rely only on its official channels and report such cases to the DOH Office of the Secretary through [email protected]. /mcm
