Patrick Clancy is sitting down for his first television interview since the murder trial of his ex-wife, Lindsay Clancy, ended in a mistrial earlier this month.

The interview will air on CBS’ “60 Minutes” on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. ET/PT, with CBS News correspondent Ross Douthat speaking with Clancy about the deaths of his three children, his grief in the years since and the conspiracy theories that have proliferated online around the case. Clancy’s wife, Dr. Rachel Danis, will also join him for their first joint interview.

Those without cable can stream the segment online through Paramount+, which will stream the Sept. 20 episode alongside its CBS broadcast. CBS has confirmed that the interview will be available on Paramount+ beginning at 7 p.m. ET/PT on Sunday. CBS is also available on live TV streamers such as DirecTV, Fubo and Hulu + Live TV.

The appearance comes just over two weeks after a Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy’s murder case on Sept. 4, when jurors were unable to reach a unanimous decision after seven days of deliberations. Clancy did not dispute that she killed the couple’s three children — Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months — in their Duxbury, Mass., home in January 2023. Her attorneys argued, however, that she was not criminally responsible because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis at the time, while prosecutors argued that the killings were deliberate. She remains charged with murder as prosecutors weigh whether to pursue another trial.

Patrick Clancy, who testified during the trial, has largely stayed out of the public eye since the deaths. CBS says his “60 Minutes” interview will address his memories of his children as well as what the network describes as “baseless conspiracy theories” that have circulated about him on social media.

The episode is part of the newly launched 59th season of “60 Minutes,” which returned to CBS on Sept. 13 with Bari Weiss now at the helm. The long-running newsmagazine currently features correspondents including Lesley Stahl, Bill Whitaker, Norah O’Donnell, Jon Wertheim and Douthat.
