Riccardo Calafiori opened the scoring in Sunday’s Community Shield match between Arsenal and Manchester City, scoring within the first minute against Italy teammate Gianluigi Donnarumma.
A solid piece of work from Myles Lewis-Skelly allowed the Englishman to find a neat pass through to the Italian defender, who slotted the ball near-post as Donnarumma dived the wrong way.
It is a nightmare start for Enzo Maresca in what is his first competitive game since replacing Pep Guardiola after the legendary Spanish coach stepped down at the end of last season.
