1. Belle's peace is shattered by news of Tom

Belle's victim liaison officer visits with unwelcome news: her abusive ex-husband Tom will soon be out of prison. They reassure Belle that Tom will be subject to strict licence conditions, but Kammy is worried for her.
Charles overhears Belle telling Nicola about Tom's imminent release and reveals that he's been speaking to Tom in his role as prison chaplain. Charles adds that Tom has accepted culpability and that he wants Belle's forgiveness.
Belle can't bear the fact that Tom is back in her head and he hasn't even been released yet, so she decides to confront the issue head-on by visiting him.
2. Kammy's declaration spooks a rattled Belle

Cain has been on a fishing trip with Liam ahead of starting radiotherapy, but when he returns, he and Kammy convince Belle not to see Tom. Belle's anxiety spirals as she knows Tom will just seek her out when he's a free man.
But Rhona, who has her own experience of abuse from a partner, helps her take control of her feelings and Belle feels more optimistic.
Later, Rhona privately warns Cain that Tom could be more dangerous than ever.
Meanwhile, a protective Kammy makes a sudden declaration of love, but with all she's going through, Belle is unable to cope and runs off.
3. DS Thea Ramsden continues to plot against Kim

Kim is still worried about Joe and continues to hide the fact that Baby Tate is being cared for by Graham in an out-of-the-way cottage until they believe Joe is ready to be a father.
Grieving Joe rejects Gabby's attempts to empathise with him, while Kim chats to Lydia about the 'adoption', and eavesdropping Thea jumps to the wrong conclusion about the baby's fate.
Serena is increasingly concerned about Thea's obsession with bringing Kim down, and urges her not to do anything she might regret.
Kim is blindsided when a social worker arrives, demanding to see Joe and his son after a report about an illegal adoption. A spying Thea gains access to Kim's phone and downloads some messages. As Thea heads out to search, what will she find?
4. Nicola struggles over Jimmy's wishes concerning Tom

With Jimmy's loss as fresh as ever, Nicola's grief is triggered by the news about Tom. Nicola can't help agonising whether Jimmy would want her to help his nephew, despite everything Tom has done.
Kev offers Nicola some support, but will he be able to help her work out her next move?
5. Lydia gets the wrong end of the stick with Kim

When Lydia shares her worries about stepson Samson with Kim ahead of his release from prison, she's thrilled by Kim's support and mistakenly thinks her friend has kindly offered to give him a job.
But Lydia is soon hurt to realise they were talking at cross purposes, and Kim hadn't promised Samson a job. Sam sets his mind to securing employment for Samson, and he's later optimistic about his son's future.
6. Chas is suspicious of Liam's behaviour

When Liam arrives home from his trip with Cain, Chas notices that her fiancé is acting furtively.
As Bob battles through a bad day while cleaning the Woolpack windows, the pub is the last thing on Chas's mind and her suspicions over Liam's behaviour increase. Will she confront him? And just what is he up to?
7. Sadie remains determined to tear Caleb and Ruby apart

Having been paid by Joe to gather evidence to destroy Caleb and Ruby, Sadie continues in her plot to drive a wedge between the couple.
The Miligans have endured a lot over the last few years, and it's only made them stronger together. But can Ruby and Caleb overcome Sadie's attempts to cause tension between them?
8. Aaron and Sarah team up to track down the missing poker winnings

After Robert's high-stakes poker game went awry, £100k in winnings went missing. It's a stressful time for all involved, and it's not long before Aaron and Sarah head out to interrogate the most obvious suspects.
We all know what happens when a villager crosses Aaron, and we've recently seen just how far a vengeful Sarah will go. So, who took the cash, and will this formidable pair catch up with the culprit?
