England host Spain at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night as both sides get their 2026/27 Nations League campaigns underway.

The Three Lions are playing their first game since finishing third at the World Cup in the summer, however, Thomas Tuchel came under a lot of criticism for his management in England's 2-1 semi-final defeat against Argentina in July.

England ended up beating France 6-4 in their third-place play-off thriller and Tuchel's side now turn their attention to the Nations League where they've returned to League A, Group A3 after their promotion from League B.

England will play Spain, Czechia and Croatia twice over the next couple of months as The Three Lions look to get out of the league phase for the first time since 2019.

Spain won the World Cup in the summer and Luis de la Fuente's side will fancy their chances of going all the way in the Nations League as well.

Spain, who also won Euro 2024, have won the Nations League once already with De la Fuente's men finishing second in two of the last three editions of the tournament. They're the best team in the world right now and it'll be a tough task for England on Saturday night.
