When Rajinikanth walked through crocodile-infested lake with Bear Grylls

Legendary actor Rajinikanth is one of the biggest superstars from the Indian cinema and even at the age of 75 the actor rules at the box office with swagger. As he will be next seen in the upcoming much awaited ‘Jailer 2’ let’s take a look at the adventurous side of the actor when he joined British adventurer Bear Grylls for a dangerous challenge in a crocodile-infested lake.

Rajinikanth walks through crocodile-infested lake

The episode of ‘Into The Wild With Bear Grylls’ was filmed in early 2020. Rajinikanth and Grylls were seen walking through a cold and murky lake filled with crocodiles. In the video, Grylls warns Rajinikanth about the danger as they enter the water.“These crocodiles are very well camouflaged and very intelligent,” Grylls says in the video.

The duo had to make their way to the other side of the lake to retrieve a camera.

Despite the dangerous surroundings, Rajinikanth remained composed and continued with the challenge. Grylls also added some humour to the tense situation by pretending that a crocodile was attacking him, giving Rajinikanth a genuine fright.

Bear Grylls calls Rajinikanth a legend

Grylls later shared the video on social media in 2026, giving fans another glimpse of Rajinikanth’s adventurous side. Sharing the clip, Grylls wrote, “Swimming a crocodile-infested lake? I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little nervous.

Cros don’t care that I’m with the great @rajinikanth ! Was a privilege to adventure with a legend.”

Rajinikanth’s upcoming films

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently gearing up for several major projects. He will next be seen in ‘Jailer 2’, the sequel to his 2023 blockbuster ‘Jailer’. The film is written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and is scheduled to release on October 15, 2026.

Rajinikanth’s films with Kamal Haasan

The actor is now shooting ‘Dharman’, directed by Ashwath Marimuthu. Rajinikanth plays a doctor in the action drama, with Raashii Khanna in a key role. The film is backed by Kamal Haasan.Rajinikanth also has another project with Kamal Haasan in the pipeline. Tentatively titled ‘KHxRK’, the film will be directed by Nelson Dilipkumar and will bring the two veteran stars together on screen.
