Naruto Officially Confirms New Anime And Fans Should Be Hyped For October 11th

After years of waiting, the Naruto franchise has finally confirmed the release of a new anime. Details are scarce at the moment, but fans can expect more information to be revealed on October 10th during the Naruto: What's Next panel at New York City Comic Con.

The new anime was revealed in an X post by the official Japanese Naruto/Boruto X account. The post begins with the exciting phrase "World Premiere of Completely New Anime Information", teasing a new anime being announced. Given that the attached image is one from the much-teased 4 new episodes of Naruto, fans can expect those to be the main subject, though that doesn't rule out the possibility of another anime announcement.

Perhaps the most enticing possibility would be the announcement of an anime for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex. Part 1 of the Boruto anime ended in 2023 on a fairly substantial cliffhanger, making fans hungry to see the continuing story of Boruto animated. With the Two Blue Vortex manga having three years under its belt already, a seasonal anime seems entirely possible, especially if Naruto anime studio Pierrot spaces seasons out like MAPPA does with their big anime such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man.

Despite a rougher critical reception for the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations anime, fans have been much more receptive to Two Blue Vortex. The story has been more focused and has a much stronger hook than its manga predecessor. Here, Boruto has almost become the new Sasuke, as he's been branded a rogue ninja due to the machinations of Kawaki and Eida. It creates an interesting dynamic that the series has been able to use for more than a few glorious moments.
