With Lamar sidelined, Ravens QB Huntley also out for season, sources say

Tests have revealed that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Tyler "Snoop" Huntley suffered a season-ending turf toe injury, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Huntley was injured in the first half of Sunday's 36-10 loss at the Buffalo Bills. With Lamar Jackson out indefinitely with a thumb injury and Huntley's season now confirmed to be over, the Ravens have turned to rookie Joe Fagnano to start Thursday night's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Fagnano will be only the second undrafted rookie quarterback to start for the Ravens (4-4) in their 32-year history.

Jackson was injured on the first offensive play for the Ravens on Sunday. He is headed to injured reserve and could miss the rest of the season.

Fagnano was also injured Sunday and wore a brace over his right ankle during Tuesday's practice.

"Every game you got bumps and bruises," said Fagnano, who was 10-for-21 for 91 yards with one interception in his NFL debut against the Bills. "It's just football, a physical game we play. It feels good, though."

Fagnano's backups are Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis, both of whom joined the Ravens within four days of Thursday's game.

Fagnano will be the second undrafted quarterback to make his first career NFL start in primetime. The first to do so was Cooper Rush, who led the Dallas Cowboys in 2021 to a late game-winning drive against the Minnesota Vikings.

Information from ESPN's Jamison Hensley was used in this report.
