Prasarana clinches two awards at HR Tech & Innovation Conference & Expo

KUALA LUMPUR: Prasarana Malaysia Bhd (Prasarana) secured two honours at the Malaysia HR Tech & Innovation Conference & Expo 2026, held on Sept 22 and 23.

In a statement today, Prasarana said one award was HR Tech Organisation of the Year, recognising its outstanding achievement in transforming training and human capital development through technology.

That transformation, it said, centralises access to learning, knowledge resources, assessments and analytics, while offering a self-directed, mobile and personalised learning experience backed by Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR).

"Known as the Prasarana Learning Management System (PALMS), this digital learning platform was developed to meet the challenge of delivering training consistently to all staff across rail, bus, technical and corporate operations in the Klang Valley and Penang, serving more than 13,000 employees," it said.

The feat was matched at the individual level when Muhammad Azfar Amran, 28, from Prasarana's Learning and Development Department, received the Early Tech HR Professional Award for driving the digital learning transformation through PALMS.

Prasarana Group chief human capital officer Dr Harigaran Bharatham said the recognition reflects the company's sustained efforts and commitment to strengthening human capital development and building organisational capability in step with evolving technology and workforce demands.

"This prestigious recognition not only reflects a proud achievement for Prasarana but also elevates the organisation alongside the country's leading conglomerates, including those in banking and telecommunications," he said in the same statement.

The Malaysia HR Tech & Innovation Conference & Expo 2026 gathered more than 2,000 leaders and innovators to discuss technological developments and HR-driven approaches to shape organisations that are more change-ready, adaptive and competitive.
