Serian records unhealthy API reading
KUALA LUMPUR: Serian recorded an unhealthy Air Pollutant Index (API) reading of 154 as of 7am today.
Based on the latest data from the Department of Environment's (DOE) Air Pollutant Index Management System (APIMS), 63 other areas nationwide recorded moderate API readings.
In Sarawak, Sri Aman recorded an API reading of 97, followed by Kuching (95), Bintulu (92), Samarahan (89), Sarikei (81) and Sibu (71).
In Sabah, the monitoring station at Politeknik Kota Kinabalu recorded an API reading of 84, while Tawau and Sandakan recorded 78 and 72 respectively.
In Johor, Pasir Gudang recorded an API reading of 83, while Larkin recorded 81.
Bukit Rambai in Melaka recorded a reading of 82.
Batu Pahat in Johor and Sungai Petani in Kedah each recorded an API reading of 81.
API readings from 0 to 50 are categorised as good, 51 to 100 as moderate and 101 to 200 as unhealthy.
