India's Harshita Tomar and Shital Verma initially finished fourth in the women's skiff sailing event at the Asian Games on Thursday. But they still ended up with a bronze medal after the Chinese pair that finished third was disqualified.The Indian pair won the bronze at the Kaiyoh Yacht Harbor in Aichi, Japan, after China’s Xiaoyu Hu and Yuyue Sun were disqualified.

India move up to third

Japan finished at the top of the standings with 14 net points, while Hong Kong, China were second with 18 points.India finished the competition with 24 net points and 28 total points, initially placing fourth.China were third with 28 net points and 33 total points.However, the Chinese pair were disqualified, moving India up to third place and handing Tomar and Verma the bronze medal.Japan took gold, Hong Kong won silver and India were awarded bronze.
