Substitute turned hero, Noah Okafor, came on in the 77th minute and scored less than two minutes later to give Leeds United a 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur at Elland Road.
Melvin Bard’s long throw was flicked on by Dominic Calvert-Lewin to Harry Wilson, who put the ball into the path of Okafor. The Swiss striker raced onto the ball and smashed it to the right of the Tottenham goalkeeper, Antonin Kinsky.

This is Leeds first win in the Premier League since September 15th, when they beat Newcastle 4-1, but it still lifts the club to 8th place in the standings, for the moment, with 14 points.
Tottenham will, however, be aggrieved that the hosts did not receive a red card in the first half. Jayden Bogle, Leeds defender, looked to have stepped on Mathys Tel’s ankle, but after a lengthy VAR check, there was not even a yellow card produced. Tel had to be substituted before half time, as he could not continue after the tackle.
This keeps Spurs in the second half of the table, with 12 points, at 11th place.
