Sandra Lemonon welcomes baby No. 2 via home water birth

Former beauty queen Sandra Lemonon and her husband, former Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Sol Mercado, have officially become a family of four as they welcomed their second child, baby girl Zaliyah Joie.
Lemonon announced the arrival of her baby while giving a glimpse of her home water birth journey through her Instagram page on Sunday, Aug. 23.
“Welcome home, Zaliyah Joie Mercado. It’s been 10 days since we welcomed you in the comfort of our home,” she said. “[Fifteen] hours of active labour. I’ve never felt so strong/connected and so weak/humbled in my entire life.”

“I’ve prayed for you my sweet love and you have blessed us with your loving presence and healing energy. You have healed parts of me that needed to be fortified/grown and you have mended our bloodlines just by your being you,” she continued.

Lemonon then spoke about her birthing experience, thanking her family for their support all throughout the process. She also described the home water birth as “one of the best feelings [she has] ever experienced.”
“We all got to take our time and enjoy your snuggles in the comfort of our bed/home, and take this God given moment in with no rush but much ease,” she said. “I got to immediately rest and fall asleep with you in my arms and be loved on by all our family.”
“I pray that more mothers get to have the same/better care than I have received,” she concluded.
