The Central East Regional Police Command has arrested three suspects in connection with the alleged murder of a 34-year-old mobile money vendor, Christian Amponsah, at a guest house around Kasoa Second in the Central Region.

The suspects are Felicia Osei Appiah, 59, Clement Opoku Yeboah, 24, and a juvenile female whose identity has not been disclosed.

According to a statement signed by the Head of Public Affairs for the Central East Region, DSP Victor Kofi Dosoo. dated October 28, 2026, the arrests were made on Tuesday, October 27, following a report by the manager of the guest house where the deceased and the juvenile had reportedly booked a room for two hours.

The manager became concerned when the two failed to leave after the booking period had elapsed. He subsequently went to check on them and allegedly found Mr Amponsah lying motionless in a pool of blood.

Police officers who visited the scene found the deceased lying in a prone position, covered with bedsheets, curtains and pillows, the statement said.

His body was later conveyed to the Police Hospital mortuary in Accra for preservation, identification and autopsy.

The autopsy is expected to assist investigators in establishing the cause of death as investigations continue.

The three suspects are in police custody and are assisting with investigations.

The police said efforts were underway to complete investigations and put the suspects before court.

The command also thanked members of the public and other stakeholders whose information it said had helped the police apprehend the suspects.
