As the summer months draw to a close it marks an end to the prestigious events that saw a plethora of star-studded men gather in their finery.

From Royal Ascot, Chelsea Flower Show and the royal wedding of Peter Phillips and Harriet Sperling, there has certainly been no shortage of glamorous occasions this summer.

Prince William was joined by the likes of David Beckham and Sir Cliff Richard at this year's Wimbledon championships, which saw SW19 awash with dapper gents as the battle for the best dressed on Centre Court intensified.

Meanwhile, Royal Ascot proved to be the perfect opportunity for the men in British high society, royals and celebrities alike, to showcase their style, complete with a signature top hat.

The five-day event saw King Charles dress to impress in a smart grey suit, blue waistcoat and top hat, while Mike Tindall opted to match with his wife, Zara, as he stepped out in a blue waistcoat and pink tie.

But while there may have been plenty to praise as numerous dashing males stepped out in their best suits, some appeared to veer a little off course when it came to taste.

Vote below to have your say on which men understood the British summertime dress code and whose looks failed to impress in the fashion stakes...
