A fire has erupted next to trains tracks between Gatwick Airport and Purley. The blaze is currently causing mass delays for several rail carriers.

This morning, the District line was suspended early on Tuesday morning due to a faulty train.

The line has since reopened as TfL engineers battled to fix the issue at Earls Court, however minor delays remain.

Meanwhile, a number of other services were suffering delays - including the Victoria and Central lines, and the DLR.

Minor delays on Northern line and DLR

Due to a person being taken unwell at Angel, there are minor delays on the Northern line between Camden Town and Kennington via Bank southbound only.

There is a good service on the rest of the line.

There are also minor delays on the DLR between Woolwich Arsenal and Stratford International due to an earlier electrical fault at the latter.

Minor delays on Victoria line

There are minor delays on the Victoria line due to infrastructure damage at Brixton.

Yesterday, there was a signal failure on the Victoria line, causing widespread delays for the majority of the day.

It is not clear whether these incidents are related.
