For many fans, Brandon Sanderson can do no wrong. With multiple worlds at his disposal, he's created quite an empire, and there are droves of enthusiasts in all corners of the Cosmere, including Mistborn.

Although many of Sanderson's stories are quite popular, Mistborn has carved out a special place in people's hearts. The unique magic system, strong characterizations, and movement through multiple eras of Mistborn help keep things fresh, building on an already strong foundation.

Now, thanks to a confirmation from the official Cosmere site, we know that Mistborn fans will have even more to look forward to this Fall.

Vin from Mistborn holds a dagger and fires tons of coins forward using Allomancy.

In case you haven't followed Mistborn, it's one of Sanderson's biggest creations (much of which comprises the Cosmere universe), and it deals with magic in a very unique way: "Magic in the world of Scadrial is tied to metals. Mistborn “burn” vials of metal to activate extraordinary Allomantic powers. Feruchemists store traits in metal, accepting temporary weakness to gain strength when they need it most. Twinborn master two abilities, proving that skill matters more than raw power."

To that end, the Mistborn RPG sourcebooks are coming this Fall, including a handbook and world guide, as well as a legacy adventure for players who are levels 1-6. There are two distinct ways to play: Era One (dark fantasy with heists and horror), or Era Two (detective stories and gunslinging). In some regions, it'll be available as early as September 12.

Here's the rub: "The Cosmere RPG continues in three core hardcover books based on Brandon Sanderson's best-selling Mistborn series. The Mistborn Handbook and Mistborn World Guide provide lore and rules for Mistborn Era 1 and Era 2, allowing you to build a campaign in either setting. The Mistborn Legacy adventure explores both settings with a story that unfolds over generations."

Mistborn Deckbuilding Game Art

If you're into Mistborn and don't really gel with RPGs, there's another route you can take. The Mistborn Deckbuilding Game is out already, and offers solo, co-op, or competitive play. It adapts the metal-burning magic system into card form, and allows players to take on Rashek in co-op form.

The core Mistborn set is out now, but there's an expansion coming later this year: The Well of Ascension. It offers a second, brand-new co-op mode (you need to defend Luthadel against the Koloss), as the developers have pivoted toward more co-op-oriented content given its positive reception. If you're a Sanderson fan, there's a lot to look forward to beyond books.
