SexBomb Girls return to music with first new song in 20 years

The SexBomb Girls are back in the music scene with “Mama Mama,” their first new song in nearly two decades.

Initially released on Aug. 7, the single marks the iconic girl group’s return to recording following major releases “Sumayaw, Sumunod: The Best of the SexBomb Girls” in 2005 and “Daisy Siete: V-Day” in 2006. 

The comeback also marks a new role for founding member and group leader Rochelle Pangilinan, who served as co-producer of “Mama Mama.” Perry Lansigan composed and produced the song.

The official music video, released on Sept. 9, brings the SexBomb Girls together with younger P-pop acts, including 1621, AJAA, VVINK and YGIG. The collaboration connects the group with a new generation of local pop acts.

The song plays on the group’s relationship with their fans, whom they affectionately refer to as the generation “raised by SexBomb.” Its lyrics deliver a message of gratitude to the fans who have continued to support the girls over the years.

The “Mama Mama” comeback follows the SexBomb Girls’ successful “Get, Get, Aw!” reunion concerts, which began with two sold-out shows in December 2025. The group added more shows in the Philippines and overseas following strong demand.

The SexBomb Girls rose to fame through their appearances on the noontime variety show “Eat Bulaga!” and later starred in the television series “Daisy Siete.” 

The group became known for dance-pop and novelty hits including “The Spaghetti Song,” “Bakit Papa?” and “Halukay Ube.” among others. /edv
