KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 — Gamuda Bhd’s share price rose in early trade on Wednesday after the company posted a five per cent increase in net profit to RM1.052 billion for the financial year ended July 31, 2026 (FY2026), marking its fifth consecutive year of record earnings.

Its revenue also rose 14 per cent to an all-time high of RM18.6 billion on stronger construction performance, with its construction order book reaching a record RM61 billion.

As at 10.05am, Gamuda’s share price rose nine sen to RM5.07, with 18.09 million shares traded.

In a note, CIMB Securities Sdn Bhd said that given Gamuda’s sustained order book pipeline and improving construction margins, it raised its FY2027 and FY2028 core profit forecasts by four per cent and one per cent to RM1.23 billion and RM1.54 billion, respectively.

As such, the stockbroking firm maintained its “buy” call on Gamuda, with a higher target price (TP) of RM6.10 from RM6.00 previously.

MBSB Investment Bank also maintained its “buy” recommendation on Gamuda, with an unchanged sum-of-the-parts (SOP)-derived TP of RM5.60.

It said Gamuda remains its top construction pick, supported by its record order book and improving earnings visibility. — Bernama
