A new Lucario redesign has been issued for Pokémon Trading Card Game, and the beloved Generation 4 Pokémon is looking better than ever before. The TCG has just seen the release of the Delta Reign expansion this November, and the first Pokémon TCG set of 2027 is going to be called Flowing Fists, an adaptation of the Japanese set, Aura Seeker. There will be tons of new cards in this expansion, which promises to bring some game-changing meta cards to the table, though Mega Lucario Z is going to be the featured poster Pokémon for Flowing Fists.

Along with its presence throughout all the marketing material for the upcoming expansion, Mega Lucario Z is going to be highlighted in a new card within Flowing Fists. The new card design, which is essentially the English version of the Mega Lucario Z ex card from the Aura Seeker set, has been highlighted in a report by PokéBeach. The report showcases other cards in the set, such as Riolu and the powerful new Sigilyph ex, but Mega Lucario Z ex steals the spotlight with its colorful card design.

The new card puts Mega Lucario Z, one of the coolest new Mega Evolutions from Pokémon Legends: Z-A, at the forefront. The card comes with the Aura Seeker ability, which allows you to search your deck for a Supporter card, reveal it, and add it to your hand, once per turn if Mega Lucario Z ex is in the Active Spot. This Steel-type card with 330 HP also has the Dancing Fist move for two Steel-type Energy, dealing 120+ damage. If the opponent’s Active Pokémon is a Pokémon ex, Dancing Fist deals an additional 120 damage.

With low Energy requirements, Mega Lucario Z ex has the potential to one-shot tons of Pokémon ex cards – though Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards tend to have a bit more HP, like Mega Lucario Z ex itself. Nevertheless, this is an impressive new card from Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists, which many players may be seeking depending on the type of deck they’re building. Of course, any SIR (Special Illustration Rare) version of this card will be more sought after, especially due to its potential market value.

Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists arrives in February 2027, making it the first English set next year. Right now, there aren’t too many details about it, as the Delta Reign expansion is in the spotlight. Moreover, since this is a direct adaptation of Aura Seeker, we’ll only get more information about it in late November. This is because Aura Seeker is set to release on November 27 in Japan – and once it drops, we’ll have some understanding of the cards that will be adapted into English and sold as Flowing Fists.

The meta is constantly changing, and every new release has the potential to fully change the game. This has already happened, in part, with the arrival of the Delta Reign set, but the Flowing Fists expansion is already looking a lot more promising with cards like Sigilyph ex, which can disrupt the current meta. We’re only a few months away from this big new Pokémon Trading Card Game release and a new take on Mega Lucario Z.
