BGN say children living in orphanages receive MBG at their school

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) Sudaryono explained that children living in orphanages receive Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) at their schools in accordance with the regulations and mechanisms.
"It is provided at their schools. There are mechanisms and regulations for this, so we ask for the public's support," he said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday.
Sudaryono made these remarks in response to public debate regarding claims that children in orphanages did not receive MBG. His explanation was shared on the Instagram account @syamsulaco, which offered suggestions for improving the program.
The head assured that children in orphanages still receive their right to healthy and nutritious food at their schools. He noted that distribution of the MBG program for toddlers is carried out through integrated health services posts (posyandu).
"For toddlers, distribution is also carried out through MBG channels, posyandu, which is one of the program's distribution channels," he said. This explanation serves as a response to the public regarding access for children in orphanages to the government's nutrition program.
By this, Sudaryono emphasized the importance of understanding the MBG distribution mechanism to ensure the program is implemented based on regulations. The public needs to understand the distribution channels.
This direct response on social media also serves as an open communication between BGN leadership and the public. Through digital interaction, the public can obtain explanations regarding the implementation of government programs, including distribution mechanisms.
The MBG program is one of the government's efforts to support the nutritional needs of the community, particularly children. Therefore, the public must understand beneficiary criteria, distribution channels, and implementation regulations.
BGN is committed to continuously strengthening socialization about the MBG distribution mechanism, including for children living in orphanages and toddlers, to ensure the public understands that access to the program is implemented in accordance with applicable regulations.
