Michael J Fox makes rare appearance in a wheelchair as he honors GMA legends George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts at Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony

Michael J Fox was on hand to show his support on Thursday as Good Morning America anchors George Stephanopoulos and Robin Roberts received stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Fox, 65, who has lived with Parkinson's disease since 1991, took to the stage in a wheelchair and gave a speech as he inducted his longtime friend Stephanopoulos.
'One of the funny things about being with George all these years, if he calls you at seven in the morning, it’s to make lunch plans,' he joked, adding, 'And dinner’s 5:30, and he’s running out the door at 6 o’clock. I think it’s a ruse not to pay the bill.'
Fox also recounted taking disappointing vacations with Stephanopoulos and their respective family units.
'We’ve gone to Greece twice,' Fox said. 'If you ever want to be invisible, go to Greece with George Stephanopoulos. No one will ever see you.'
The Back to the Future icon joined forces with Emmy-winning actress Niecy Nash-Betts, 56, and GMA's third anchor Michael Strahan, 54, to bust out plenty of jokes, as well as emotional anecdotes, in honor of their superstar pals.
Stephanopoulos, 65, and Roberts, 65, received side-by-side placement, commemorating the 2,862nd and 2,863rd stars since the Walk of Fame’s completion in 1961 with an initial 1,558 entries.

All's Fair actress Nash-Betts elicited applause while paying tribute to the 'authenticity' of the woman who broke new ground at ESPN before joining ABC's enduring morning show.
'Robin, you showed the world that you can be successful without sacrificing who you are,' the actress said.
'Somewhere, there is a little Black girl who will see your name on this sidewalk and realize that her dreams are possible.'
Nash-Betts continued, 'We're celebrating your courage, your faith, your kindness and the countless lives you have touched. Hollywood may be putting your star on the ground today, but you spent your life showing us how to reach for the sky.'
Not to be outdone by the admittedly 'fabulous' Nash-Betts, purple-suited NFL Hall of Famer Strahan heaped ample praise on the inductees.
'He’s such a class guy, a remarkable man,' Strahan said of Stephanopoulos.
'He’s had a remarkable career in television. But before becoming a TV journalist and all this other stuff, George was working in the White House as President Bill Clinton’s communications director, and for nearly three decades, he has brought that same intelligence, his curiosity, his dedication to the world of journalism.'
Strahan also recalled Roberts' valuable mentorship as he made the transition from sports to broadcasting.

Ali Wentworth shares a hearty laugh with her husband Stephanopoulos and Roberts as their famous friends heap praise on them at Thursday's Hollywood Walk Of Fame ceremony
'I remember feeling like the new guy right in Hollywood trying to figure it out. On the red carpet at the Oscars, I see this tall stunning woman across the red carpet,' Strahan said, paying homage to the Peabody Award-winning Roberts.
'She saunters over to me, and she says, "Are you nervous?" And I said, "Yes, I am." And she said three words to me: "Michael, you belong." It seems like such a simple thing to say, but it meant everything to me because it reminded me that nobody starts out knowing everything.'
Strahan and Roberts' co-anchor also gave big props to his colleagues.
'I honestly can’t believe that we share a desk together, every single day,' said Stephanopoulos, who famous stands 5-feet 5-inches tall.
'I can’t imagine that I sit at a desk with a Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame member. An NFL Hall of Famer. And they tolerate a very height-challenged teammate.'
Roberts played basketball at Southeastern Louisiana University from 1979 to 1983 and was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012 for her contributions to the sport as a broadcaster.

Stephanopoulos added that his tenure at ABC News afforded him career opportunities he never anticipated as a former White House communications director and a senior adviser for policy and strategy.
'I never could have imagined that I would interview Kermit the Frog,' he said. 'I never could have imagined that I would agree to dress up on Halloween as Lady Gaga.'
Meanwhile, Roberts detailed how the anchors’ polar opposite backgrounds actually helped them forge an unbreakable connection.
'If you look at our resumes, we could not be more different,' Roberts said as her wife, 52-year-old massage therapist Amber Laign, looked on adoringly.
'Our backgrounds are so incredibly different, but it’s the similarities that bond us. Our passion for storytelling is only second to the passion that we have for our families.'
