Prime Big Deal Days 2026: Best Gaming Deals & Highlights

It's not quite time for the endless season of Black Friday sales to kick off, but Amazon is pre-gaming things with Prime Big Deal Days 2026. The ubiquitous online retailer has plenty of discounts across every imaginable category, and one of those, naturally, is video games.
This year's sales range from rare price drops on Nintendo exclusives to peripherals at a fraction of the usual cost. We might end up seeing better doorbusters in November — and more places to buy from than a single, contentious destination — but if anything from the current sale catches your eye, there's no guarantee the promotion will return on Black Friday.
If you're a fan of the Pokémon series, the most eye-catching deal at the moment might be Pokémon Legends: Z-A. The physical versions of the game for both the original Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 have been discounted to $39.99 on Amazon. In the case of the Switch version, that's $20 off, while it knocks $30 from the $69.99 retail price of the Switch 2 version.
This marks a new low for Pokémon Legends: Z-A on Amazon, but the deal might not be available for the full course of the sale. Unlike many of the current discounts, the Switch 2 version of Pokémon Legends: Z-A limits the number of customers who can claim the deal. At the time of writing, it's sitting at 31% claimed.
FF7 Remake Gets A Steep Discount
Pokémon Legends: Z-A isn't the only RPG adventure with an appreciable discount, with other attractive sales including games like Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles and the Dragon Quest HD-2D remakes. One that deserves a particular shout is Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, which is discounted on both the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2. On PlayStation 5, it's currently $19.99 on Amazon, and the Switch 2 version is $24.99.
ThePS5 Intergrade version of FF7 Remake, which upgrades the performance and adds a story DLC, was out of print for a while, so the current $19.99 price is a lot better than what resale was looking like a couple of years ago. The Switch 2 version, meanwhile, is a new release from this year. Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, the sequel, is also discounted for both systems, selling for $16.99 on PS5 and $34.99 on Switch 2.
EA Football Games Are At New Lows
For football fans, both of this year's big EA titles have starring roles in the Prime Big Deal Days selection. Across platforms, physical versions of EA Sports Madden NFL 27 and EA Sports College Football 27 have been discounted to $42.99 on Amazon.
Yearly sports games tend to drop in value aggressively, so deeper discounts can be expected for both in the future. If you want to play during this football season, though, now could be the time to invest, as these prices are the best Amazon has offered yet. Prior to the start of the sale, they both dropped to 49.99 in October, so this is an additional $7 from that previous low.
Other Highlight Amazon Gaming Deals

- Razer Wolverine V3 Pro 8K Wireless Controller - $94.99 ($199.99 MSRP)
This isn't one of Amazon's biggest gaming sales ever, and it ultimately seems to be focused largely around specific categories. Square Enix RPGs make up a solid portion of the strongest game offers, for example, and quite a lot of the gaming category is occupied by an array of keyboards and headsets with minor to moderate discounts. Those looking for more options can also check out Best Buy's ongoing Techtober sale, which misses some of Amazon's biggest discounts but features a larger selection of games on sale overall.
Nonetheless, there's still plenty to appreciate in the Prime Big Deal Days section this October, especially if you happen to be on the hunt for some time-consuming journeys on PS5 or Switch 2. If you've been looking for new gaming peripherals for PC or consoles, it's also worth doing a deep dive into the options from both Amazon and Best Buy in that realm, as the selection of highlights above is just the tip of the iceberg.
