Translate

KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak has been informed of the details of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for house arrest, said Legal Affairs Division director-general Datuk Zamri Misman.

"Those details have been informed to Datuk Seri Najib," he said during a media briefing on the enforcement and implementation of the Parliamentary Service Act 2025.

When asked about the progress of the SOPs, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said, who was also present at the briefing, declined to elaborate.

It was reported that the Prisons Department was expected to release the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Najib's house arrest soon.

Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the SOPs would detail aspects of visitation, control and monitoring of the former prime minister's movements.
