Doctor Who's Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill to face iconic monster in exciting new adventure

Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill are set to face an iconic Doctor Who monster in the next chapter of the Big Finish audio drama The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures.

Doctor Who: Armageddon Dawn, which will see the Doctor (Whittaker) set out to confront a new enemy - Aegis Protectorate, an interstellar arms manufacturer - only to find that Aegis is in collusion with an old foe (the Daleks!), is set to be released in November 2026.

The official synopsis reads: "The Doctor decides it’s time to deal with Aegis. Taking Yaz to confront the company at the height of its powers, she finds Athena Nikos entertaining some unexpected clients. Tech genius Esskapell wants control of Aegis for his own reasons – but, more worryingly, so does the ‘Dalek Negotiator’…"

Alongside Whittaker, Gill returns to voice companion Yasmin Khan, while Nicholas Briggs returns to voice the Daleks.

The episode also features the return of Aegis boss Athena Nikos (Juliet Aubrey), the mysterious Tourist (Maddison Bulleyment), and introduces the obnoxious tech entrepreneur Esskapell (Amit Shah).

Armageddon Dawn is the ninth of twelve instalments in The Thirteenth Doctor Adventures, which have been releasing bimonthly since July 2025.

Writer Matt Fitton said in a statement that he leapt at the chance to pit the Doctor against her oldest foe. "While we've seen this Doctor face Daleks on Earth on TV, I wanted to raise the stakes even higher here. So as the Dalek Empire tries to get its suckers on Aegis, what I really wanted to do was lock her in a room with her greatest enemy and see what they really think of one another!
