DarkHorse secures 50 MW power deal for new Kentucky superintelligence facility
- DarkHorse Technologies (DRK) signed a power contract for up to 50 MW for a new superintelligence factory in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, doubling its contracted TVA-region capacity to ~100 MW.
- Hopkinsville Electric System will build, own, and operate a new 65 MW substation, fully funded by DarkHorse, with about 15 MW available for existing HES customers.
- The 10-year power contract includes automatic five-year renewals. DarkHorse (DRK) has an 18-month permit contingency period.
- DarkHorse is expected to fully fund construction of the substation and must pay the entire construction cost in advance and convey the substation site to HES.
- The stock price increased about 3.5% on Tuesday pre-market trade.
