TCN announces maintenance on Gwarinpa-Suleja line
The Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) has announced plans to carry out annual preventive maintenance on its Gwarinpa-Suleja 132/33 kilovolt (kV) Line 2 bay switchgears and associated equipment.
The management of the company said in a statement on its X handle in Abuja on Friday that the maintenance would take place on Sept. 26 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
According to TCN, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) will experience a 20-minute interruption of power supply to customers in Suleja Township, FCT College of Education, Field Base, Zuba, Sabon Wuse and environs.
It said the interruption was necessary to enable the transfer of load from Gwarinpa-Suleja Line 2 to Kubwa-Suleja Line 1 and facilitate the exercise without a prolonged outage.
“TCN apologises for any inconvenience this may cause consumers in the affected areas.
