Hasaacas Ladies enjoyed a winning start to the 2026/27 GoldFields Women's Premier League following their victory over Army Ladies.

Hasaacas claimed a 2-1 away win over Army in the fixture which was played at the Mats Park in Teshie on Saturday, October 24.

The Hasmal Ladies came into the fixture on the back of a 1-0 victory over Ampem Darkoa Ladies in the Champion of Champions, with Raymond Fenny making one change to the team that defeated the league winners last weekend.

Hasaacas enjoyed a good spell of possession in the opening 25 minutes of the game but were unable to break the backline of Army.

However, they eventually found the breakthrough in the 32nd minute when a howler at the back presented an opportunity to Comfort Owusu, who fed Milot Pokuaa for the first goal of the game.

Grace Banwaa made a few saves to deny the home side an equaliser as Hasaacas went into the break with a 1-0 lead.

Army came back stronger in the second half of the game, creating a flurry of chances.

Their great spell of possession left spaces at the back as Hasaacas won for themselves a penalty which was converted by Belinda Kpoglo to double the away side's advantage in the 60th minute.

Shortly after doubling their lead through the spot, Hasaacas also conceded a penalty which was converted by Army's Zinatu Alhassan.

Milot came close to restoring Hasaacas' two-goal lead, but she failed in a one-on-one situation.

Hasaacas finished the game with all three points, claiming their third victory over Army in their last three meetings.
