OMECO said the Sablayan Diesel Power Plant, which has a contracted capacity of 6 megawatts, currently had only 4 MW of dependable capacity, with Units 1 and 4 undergoing corrective maintenance.

At the Pulang Lupa Diesel Power Plant, which has 5.8 MW of dependable capacity, Unit 5 was also under corrective maintenance.

Meanwhile, the OMCPC MAPSA Plant, with a contracted capacity of 9 MW, had only 5.4 MW of dependable capacity available as Units 6, 7, 9 and 11 were undergoing corrective maintenance.

OMECO said the reduced generating capacity could affect electricity supply in some areas, depending on the power system’s actual condition./coa
