Kenya Power Announces Planned Electricity Maintenance Across Several Counties on September 15

Kenya Power has announced planned electricity maintenance in parts of Nairobi, Kajiado, West Pokot, Kisumu, Kirinyaga, Tharaka Nithi, Nyeri, Kwale and Mombasa counties on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.

The scheduled interruptions are part of routine maintenance work on the electricity network. Customers in the affected areas have been advised to make the necessary arrangements ahead of the planned outages.

Nairobi Region

Part of Langata – Royal Park Estate
Time: 9am–5pm

Areas affected include KMA, St. Mary’s Hospital, GK Prisons, Sunvalley Estate and Otiende Estate, as well as adjacent customers.

Parts of Kajiado County

Kimuka, Maragara
Time: 8:30am–5pm

The interruption will affect Oloolaioser, Ngere Road, Maragara Road, Booster Road, Olemontet, Bella, Baboon Crescent, Kimuka, Saikeri and Oloshobor, alongside adjacent customers.

North Rift Region

Parts of West Pokot County – Sarmach, Nasolot, Karon
The affected areas include Sarmach Market, Nasolot and Karon Centre, together with adjacent customers.

Parts of Kisumu County – KEDA Ceramics
Time: 10am–5pm

The interruption will affect KEDA Ceramics and adjacent customers.

Mt Kenya Region

Parts of Kirinyaga County – Kianyaga, Rukenya
Time: 9am–5pm

Affected areas include parts of Kianyaga Town, Rwambiti Market, Rukenya Market, Kathata Coffee Factory, Kianyaga Hospital and parts of Kutus Town, together with adjacent customers.

Parts of Tharaka Nithi County – Ngunga Market

The affected areas include Ngunga Market, Ngunga Primary School and Karambari Primary School, alongside adjacent customers.

Parts of Nyeri County – Sangare Milk Plant, Endarasha, Kanyag ia
Time: 9am–5pm

The interruption will affect Isacco, Kamune, Peak Leaders Hotel, Mahiga, Honi, Uwasonyiro Market, Mairo, Wendiga Farm, Charity, Watuka, Embaringo, Kulla Mawe, Nganoini, Solio Ranch and Solio Lodge, as well as adjacent customers.

Thangathi, Kiuu, Ithanji
