Former actress and Laguna provincial board member Angelica Jones Alarva is facing administrative complaints for alleged grave misconduct and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service over accusations of verbally abusing her former employee, Samantha Alaisa.

Alaisa said Alarva called her tanga (dumb), inutil (stupid), bobo (idot), and told her curse words and “saka ka na mag magaling pag college graduate ka na.” (Pretend to be smart once you’re already a college graduate.)

Antagal ko po tiniis,” Alaisa said.

(I have been enduring her verbal abuse, and this was the cause of my mental health issues. I have been enduring this since 2021.)

(I can't really take it anymore. My depression is getting worse. I tried to shrug it off, but she won't let me be.)

Alaisa said she worked as one of the staff members of Jones from 2021 to 2022, and again in 2025 on a job-order status, but Jones’ verbal abuse got worse in 2025.

She said that while her employment has already been terminated, Alarva was still writing to various offices in the provincial government of Laguna, urging them to blacklist her, making it tough for her to land new employment.

May baby po ako,” Alaisa said.

(My trauma is worsening. It is not just me who is affected. My family is also affected. I have a baby.)

(She is always angry. And I am not alone in my experience. I have experienced it with my other co-workers, but they are afraid to speak about their trauma. That is why I took it upon myself to file a complaint so justice can be served over what happened to us.)

Alaisa said that while she tried several times to ask Alarva as to why she is always angry, her boss just dismissed his efforts.

“Hindi po kasi siya nakikipag-usap. Huwag daw po akong mag-drama,” she said.

(She just said I should cut the drama.)
