Joe Jonas has reportedly found a buyer for his luxury Brooklyn condo, with the deal going into contract just a day before Taylor Swift released a new song that has sparked speculation among fans about her former relationship with the singer.According to New York Post, The Jonas Brothers singer’s three-bedroom condo on the 26th floor of Olympia Dumbo went into contract on September 24, according to StreetEasy. The 2,654-square-foot property had been listed for $6.75 million since June, when the listing was first reported.The timing caught attention because Taylor Swift released “Patient Zero” the following day, on September 25, as part of The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore.

Swift had first revealed the track on September 22.The song is written as a message from one woman to another who is now dating a man the singer previously dated. Swift portrays herself as the first person to experience the emotional damage caused by the man and offers advice to his current partner.

Taylor Swift fans connect ‘Patient Zero’ to Sophie Turner

Swifties quickly began speculating that the song could be about actress Sophie Turner, who was previously married to Jonas.

Turner and Jonas split in 2023 after four years of marriage. Around the time of their separation and subsequent custody discussions, Swift reportedly allowed Turner and her children to stay at her downtown Manhattan apartment. The two women were also photographed together on several occasions following Turner and Jonas’ breakup.Swift and Jonas themselves dated briefly in 2008. Their relationship ended over the phone, a detail Swift later discussed publicly with Ellen DeGeneres, recalling that a former boyfriend had broken up with her over a short phone call.However, not every Swift fan believes “Patient Zero” is about Jonas or Turner. Some listeners have pointed out that certain lyrics appear to fit other relationships more closely, while a reference to social climbing has led some fans to question whether Jonas is the intended subject.Swift has not publicly identified Jonas, Turner or anyone else as the inspiration for the song.

While the condo was listed for $6.75 million, its eventual sale price will not be known until the transaction closes and appears in New York City property records.Jonas purchased the residence in May 2024 for $6.5 million, meaning his asking price was only $250,000 above his purchase price. After brokerage commissions, transfer taxes and other transaction costs, the final return could be considerably smaller.

The 2,654-square-foot corner residence offers views of the Manhattan Bridge, East River and lower Manhattan skyline through floor-to-ceiling windows.

One of its standout features is a lipstick-red lounge featuring a walnut bar and vinyl station.

The room can also be converted back into a fourth bedroom. The kitchen features Fior di Bosco marble and hand-blown Bocci lighting fixtures, while common charges are reportedly $3,590 per month.

Carl Gambino of the Gambino Group at Compass represented Jonas in the sale.

Olympia Dumbo attracts celebrity buyers

The buyer will be moving into one of Brooklyn’s prominent luxury addresses. Olympia, developed by Fortis Property Group and completed in 2024, has attracted several notable residents and buyers.Former Brooklyn Nets player Ben Simmons and “Frozen” songwriters Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are among those associated with the building.The 33-story waterfront tower contains 76 residences and more than 38,000 square feet of amenities, including indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a tennis court.The building’s 32nd-floor penthouse was featured as Denzel Washington’s home in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest and later sold for $16.25 million.

Another penthouse in the building remains listed for $15 million.

Joe Jonas’s life after Sophie Turner split

Jonas purchased the Brooklyn property shortly after his 2023 split from Turner. The former couple share two daughters, and Jonas now divides his time between the United States and the United Kingdom to remain close to them.He previously sold his longtime Nolita apartment for approximately $5.3 million and was spotted looking at properties in Greenpoint in January 2025.
