Class of 2027 quarterback Bo Bryan, the son of country music star Luke Bryan, announced his commitment to Georgia on Sunday, arriving as the second passer in Bulldogs coach Kirby Smart's latest recruiting class.

Bryan, a 6-foot, 205-pound prospect from Tennessee's Battle Ground Academy, is a three-star pocket passer in the 2027 cycle, per ESPN rankings. His verbal pledge comes less than a week after Bryan received an offer from Georgia on Oct. 19, his first from a Power 4 program. He picked the Bulldogs over offers from Austin Peay, East Tennessee State, North Alabama, UT Martin and others.

The elder Bryan is one of the highest-grossing artists in country music and the owner of five "Entertainer of the Year" awards between the Academy of Country Music and Country Music Association. A native of Leesburg, Georgia, Bryan attended Georgia Southern University, but he has remained a lifelong Georgia fan and a frequent face in the crowd at Bulldogs games.

Per ESPN sources, Bryan has become increasingly involved with the program in recent years. In April, Bryan and fellow country star Jason Aldean headlined a sellout at the Bulldogs' Sanford Stadium, the venue's first concert since 2013.

Like his father, the younger Bryan is a longtime Georgia fan. He made multiple trips to campus before his commitment, most recently for the Bulldogs' Week 4 win over Oklahoma last month.

Bryan is rated as ESPN's No. 107 overall pocket passer in the 2027 cycle. He joins four-star passer Colton Nussmeier -- the brother of former LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier and the nation's No. 8 pocket passer -- as the second quarterback in Georgia's 2027 class, which ranks 12th nationally in ESPN's latest class rankings for the cycle.

As a junior at Battle Ground Academy last fall, Bryan served as the backup quarterback on a team that claimed a TSSAA Division II-AA state title, the school's first since 2003. He took over as the starting quarterback as a senior this fall and was credited with 2,006 passing yards and 30 touchdowns to three interceptions before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury earlier this month.

Georgia picked up another pledge from Battle Ground Academy earlier this week with a commitment from Class of 2028 offensive tackle Koehn Dial. The 6-foot-8, 285-pound lineman is one of four prospects pledged to the Bulldogs' 2028 class, which is headlined by No. 1 overall quarterback Jayden Wade out of Florida's IMG Academy.

No. 3 Georgia had an open date this weekend following its Week 7 loss to Auburn. The Bulldogs (6-1, 4-1 SEC) return to action against No. 17 Florida on Oct. 31 at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium (3:30 PM ET, ABC).
