Delhi have dropped Nitish Rana, their former captain, from the 16-member squad for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, which starts on November 14. The squad was announced on Friday.

The 32-year-old batter was part of Kolkata Knight Riders’ title-winning IPL squad in 2024. He captained Delhi in the previous edition of the domestic T20 tournament, when the team went out in the group stage.
